Digital Storytelling in class is a way to motivate students using ICT in a creative way, activitating 4 Cs Comunication, Cooperation, Collaboration and Creativity, and also a way to develop critical thinking and to present the other skills in a diffent way.

My expectations and goals are:
Learn new tools

Reported Speech -- Statements

You want to tell somebody what a person said. There are two ways of doing it:

You can repeat the speaker's exact words --- direct speech:
John said, "I want to buy a car"
Or you can tell another person what John said --- reported speech:
John said  (that) he wanted to buy a car.

Therefore, you  need to learn how to transform direct speech into reported speech:

Pronouns:
In reported speech, you often have to change the pronoun depending on who says what.

       She said, "I am ill"
       She said she was ill.

Tenses:

Reporting verbs:

In reported statements, reporting verbs are usually say or tell. The meaning is the same but the grammar is different:

Say ----      John said he was at home
Tell somebody --- John told me he was at home
Say to somebody --- John  said to me he was at home

Passive - Present/Past simple

Passive voice is used when the focus is on the action; it's not important or not known who or what is performing the action:

. We use an active verb when we say "what the subject does"
My father built this house the last year.
We use a passive verb when we say "what happens to the subject"
This house was built the last year.

. When we use passive, who or what causes the action is often unknown or unimportant.
                     Active:     Somebody stole my bike.
                     Passive:   My bike was stolen.

. Present Simple:
                   Active:  clean(s), see(s),watch(es)......
Somebody cleans this room every day.
                   Passive:  am/is/are + cleaned /seen/ watched......
                                                     ( past participle (regular verbs+ed
                                                       irregular verbs 3rd column))
This room is cleaned every day.
I'm not often invited to parties.

. Past simple:

                  Active:  cleaned, saw, watched......
                               Somebody cleaned this room yesterday.
                   Passive:  was/were + cleaned /seen/watched......
                                                     ( past participle (regular verbs+ed
                                                       irregular verbs 3rd column))
                              This room was cleaned yesterday.
When I was fifteen, I wasn't invited to parties.
