Module 5

Students studying Commerce have done a project creating their own Shopping centers.

PLANNING: Students have dedicated 6 hours to plan their projects, using padlet, google presentations and recording their videos about their shopping centers.

DESIGN: First, I showed students a video about collaborative work and what they have to do using a prezi. All this information is on  course's Moodle.

IMPLEMENTATION: Using computers and mobile phones to create projects, record and edit videos.

All their projects are on Padlet: https://padlet.com/fati_garcia/k5ixpafsi62a

Then students have assessed the project using a Kahoot. Results are as follows:

Module 4

BUILDING AND DEPARTMENTS

You have to create a shopping center!!! with the different floors, departments you want.

You are going to work in groups of 4 people in a collaborative way. You can distribute the work and give roles to create your SHOPPING CENTER. Maybe one is the person in charge of creating the apps, another thinkning how to work, another the one correcting the mistakes .....

You can use an app called CANVA to create an infographic where you can include all the information in order to present to the rest of the class.

You can work in a collaborative way using PADLET or DRIVE. Padlet is like a whiteboard where all of you can work at the same time including your works!

Then post your works :  https://padlet.com/fati_garcia/k5ixpafsi62a

Reported Speech -- Statements

You want to tell somebody what a person said. There are two ways of doing it:

You can repeat the speaker's exact words --- direct speech:
John said, "I want to buy a car"
Or you can tell another person what John said --- reported speech:
John said  (that) he wanted to buy a car.

Therefore, you  need to learn how to transform direct speech into reported speech:

Pronouns:
In reported speech, you often have to change the pronoun depending on who says what.

       She said, "I am ill"
       She said she was ill.

Tenses:

Direct Speech
Reported Speech
Present Simple
Past Simple
Present Continuous

Past Perfect

Future (will)
Conditional (would)

Place and time expressions:

Reporting verbs:

In reported statements, reporting verbs are usually say or tell. The meaning is the same but the grammar is different:

Say ----      John said he was at home
Tell somebody --- John told me he was at home
Say to somebody --- John  said to me he was at home
